What is staging? Why stage?
Unlike decorating, staging is the placement of furniture and furnishings in a way which presents potential buyers with an informative and appealing presentation of the home. Each room is well-defined as to its purpose, highlighting space and flow. The goal of staging is to make the home appealing to more potential buyers, create an atmosphere that allows them to visualize themselves living there, and get them to fall in love with your home!
A home that is staged generally spends less days on the market and will often fetch a more desirable price. Staging includes: sprucing up the gardens and other exterior locations of the home, decluttering and depersonalizing, painting in neutral tones, cleaning inside and out, and of course thoughtful placement of furniture. Staging can be as inexpensive as a can of paint or can include furniture storage and rental. This all depends on individual needs. Keeping in mind that our goal is always to fetch the highest price possible for the home, using all the tools available.
